Sulwhasoo Pattern

Neri & Hu Design and Research Office was commissioned to design the Sulwhasoo flagship store in Gangnam. The overarching concept of the entire project is centered around the idea of a "Lantern," incorporating numerous openings and frameworks resembling the structure of a lantern.

As a member of the graphic team, my role involved simplifying and redesigning the Sulwhasoo pattern to resonate in a modern context, applying it across various surfaces as branding elements within the environment.

For the L3 lounge room, I divided the pattern into two designs, creating differing levels of luminosity by varying the density of the frames.
